Default 1987 vs 90 lt250

ok my 87 has same mods as my 90 and eats it up something fierce. only difference is my 87 has 38mm airstryker and my 90 has 38 pwk any opinions very appreciated. it cant just be cause my bigger intake on the 87 right? please lemme hear your opinions thanks again

i dont understand...are you saying the 87 smokes the 90?? If thats what it is, it could be that one is jetted better than the other, the intake, the carb, who knows. They wont run exactly the same as they did back then.

im saying my 87 eats raptures and the same rapture smoked my 90 same rider me lol. same mods cant figure out why so different only thing different is the carbs. and 87 has bigger rad intake. you under stand now?

just for the record about 14 telephone poles is as far as we went before he quit 6th gear for me about25 seconds. i have feeling he woulda started gaining .and the 87 ripssssssssssssssss

if you get an airstryker good luck as u seen my posts i had hell of time jetting it ofcourse had lid on airbox .so it couldnt breathe the first 6 jets i changed .hahahahah

The 87 also has a different cylinder than all other LTs. The intake ports are different somehow. I know alot of people use the 87 cylinder for drag. what do you mean by rad intake.

Sounds to me like he is talking about the intake boot....where the carb hooks up...because on the 87's it was larger then any other year..

yes the whole reed assembly/intake is bigger on an 1987 .exactly no brakes jake
