Default carb fits horribly?

i have a kehin PJ34 carb and it fits horribly between the stock bootsdo any of your guys carbs not fit good?i think it would be much better if the intake boot came straight out of the reed assembly rather than down and to the right.it takes me every bit of a half hour to get it off and back on without doing anything inbetween.

I've had an intake problem with the quadracer i just got. The intake on it curved down and to the right like you described. However, using the stock airbox and tube put ALOT of pressure on this intake boot and eventually cracked it about half way around. The boot had a really big "mouth" on it so the 38mm a/s carb fit into it easily. LRD told me it probably came off of a '92 RM250 and the previous owner said he thought it might be off of a LT500. Not sure which one is correct though.

Before I knew it wasn't stock I went and bought a stock one and it only bent down....not to the side though. Also the mouth was much smaller. It appears some guys are able to get them to fit. I don't have experience with this quad much so I just returned it and bought a rad valve from LRD which they said they modify some to flow better and it is supposed to solve all my fitment problems. We'll see how it works out.

That is what I was told by LRD...no way for me to confirm it without seeing a rm250 boot.

The stock LT250 one i returned was about $50. The rad valve was more than double that.

Correct. I was told the motorcycle (RM250) one goes to the right because the rear shock on the bike is closer to the engine so the intake has to "turn" out quicker to miss it.
