The only thing the craptor will ever have on the z-400 is top end and the "shakes". In the 300 ft drag the z-400 will come out the winner, yes the craptor will eventully start to pull on the very top end when you are already in 5th gear. You got to think for a second and say "when am i ever going to have a 500ft straight away on a trail, or a place to ride". The z has more acceleration with or with our mods, also it wont tip as easly.

rider1169, i never said i beat you i siad you beat me by a few lenghts but i was right there about 14/2 lenght behind u8ntill 4th then you stated to pull and eventulally beat me by 4 or 41/2 bikes. dont deny it either, but hey dont get me wrong the raptor is fast but you have to admit the z has ***** for a 400

 

yea the z is nuts for a 400, but i was leading the whole way and pulling, but i feel that that MURDR is a dumbazz because there isnt any way-no offence z400 owners- that a raptor and z400 withthe same mods, the z is gonna win, no way.

 

MURDR What are u smoking? 300ft The Raptor is gone, The only time the Z will be in first is if the Raptor has a bad start but then when it hits 2nd it will be right back in the lead. The Z isnt a bad quad but the Raptor is faster, My buddy gots a Yoshi pipe on his and in 300ft we are equal but after that I'm gone. My quad is stock to.

 

Alot of bull$hit coming from to yamaha owners. The craptor sucks ***** the tranny sucks, the suspension sucks, the vibrations sucks.mmmmmmmmmmmmm. is that why in most mags they even say the the z-400 is a better quad. oh, with out spraying my nos i still will smoke a raptor, especialy off the line. I can drop my clutch at 7000 rpm and see ya. running stock gears. So please yamaha owners swallow your pride and acknowledge the z-400 is a better quad. As well as in a drag race, besides being stock. I have raced many raptors the only thing they got is top end, and that is becuase of gearing, So you can take your vibrating peaice of yamahas mistake and shove it. Oh one more thing the only thing people with craptors know, is what the back of my quad looks like. Your a funny guy MURDR, LOL. Yamaha makes 3 of the Top High Performance quads out there, There also the 3 fastest quads out there to. And you say that the Raptor has just Top End and its all about the gearing. Well as far as I know the Raptor is undergeared from the factory. Your just a funny guy that likes his quad. I value that u can take the humor, most cant! I see that you live in michegan and was wondering if you have been to silver lakes or badlands. About the craptors (lol) mybe the people that i have raced against didnt know how to ride, but that would make alot of people with raptors dont know how to run there machines for what there worth. But the only thing i would say about yamaha is that there a great company especialy with there R1 and there waverunners wich i own two gp-1200 and my brother has the R-1. So i am a yamaha fan but in this situation i value the z a little more than the raptor. Take in mind the quads are the only thing i like about suz. But like i said before have you been to silver lakes if so how was it. And have you been to bandlands in Indiana?

 

I have been to Silver Lake but never to Badlands. It was great, Never got beat by any 400 that I raced but I never raced the decked out ones either. I raced ones with pipes and less and I never got beat by them. There was some pretty fast ones that would kill me so I didn't race them. Have you ever been to either of them?

 

i don't know guys that is a quick 400 my buddies raced craptor vs. z and the z could keep up just fine about 5 quad legths over a 1/2 mile
