i went to my friends house this weekend with my z400, he has a 03 LE Raptor with a slip on yoshi. he rode mine and i rode his and the z felt pretty close to that raptor, i like it. we also raced, we were both dead even till he hit 4th and then he started to walk away, he ended up beating me by 3- 3/12 bike lengths. i was suprised. i love my z[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

do you have a pipe? if not your friend doesnt know how to ride if it was even.

 

I have a pipe on my Z and it's almost dead even through the first
4 gears when I drag race my buddy's Raptor.We reapetedly drag
race and switch quads all the time.He always pulls ahead in the top
gears though.

 

Do you mind putting up a couple pics of your bike? I'd love to see what it looks like with the Pro-armor nerfs and a-arm guards. I've been thinking of getting some.

I got the trailtech x-bars and clamp too, you like it? I think it's great.

 

I dont find it possible......a Raptor will kill a Z. Not downing the Z but its a fact. Unless the guy forgot to shift..and even then I think a Z would still lose....

Stock for stock the rappy beats a z but when both have moded air intakes and pipes the z beats the rappy every time.Weird but true from the tons of rappys I have draged.
I went against a rappy that had a big bore kit and he ate me for lunch everytime.
I went aginst another rappy that had the same modds as me and he even had an extended swingarm and I would pull ahead of him till about 300 yards then he would slowly but surely pass me.So in no way can anybody say a rappy kills a z.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
I have nothing against rappys they have hella torque and are fun to ride.

I know from experiance from ridding them both in trails the z owns the rappy in handleing.Like a tank v/s the lap of luxury.

 

jsyi you under estimate the z and/or over estimate the raptor yamaha did somthin wrong when they made a 660 that goes that slow

 

No i wouldnt saying im underestimating/overestimating either... I think Yamaha accomplished their goal of makign something big an dpowerful but then again so did zuki in their own way. I dont ride either so Im not just bashing the opposite of what i have. Im just speaking from what I've seen. Maybe I havnt seen it cuz we might ride diff terrain. Im about 99% dunes and about 1% dirt/other. So my apologies. Im a Predator guy so yep Im not just being brand loyal and saying one is better than the other.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
