Eiger jetting, stock is 122! WAY too lean
Hemi,
Yeah so I decided to give this a whirl at 5500 feet where the Eiger is 90% of the time. We put it on the tech stand at the dealer and we went through the tests. Still not sure about the back firing, they will run a few more quick diagnostics then we will test it. Like drag racing this is not a hard number. Each Eiger will run different. Each will require fine tuning. I am not looking for performance numbers. I use this as a utility deal plowing snow and cleaning up property. Very seldom ridden as a rec vehicle. I know that sucks but how it is. I wish I could ride it more for a rec vehicle.
Will keep you guys posted. The fuel thing and sitting has me concerned. I have Sta-bil in it now as I only use it every month or so, the rest of the time it sits. I imagine it will not run at peak with Sta-bil in tank, but have to do something to keep fuel from going bad.

Wanted to get back to this post to update everyone on my sluggish Eiger. So we rejetted it to 118 on primary and adjusted idle circuit a bit. At 1000 ft it ran very lean and had a few pops however this was expected. But did run good without any choke applied. So I took it up to 5800 feet and it fired right up with virtually no choke. After warm up it ran AWESOME. I have my EIGER back and running the way it should. I also replaced the Fram inline fuel filter with a glass model so I can watch the quality of the gas. I added Sta-Bil since it sits alot between rides. I have also found that Eigers are a bit cold blooded. Once they have temp they are good to go.

I rode at Diamond Lake here in OR and I run a 135 jet in my Eiger (with a Vinny carb, but that's a little beside the point) and we were riding between 5300 and 6500 feet. My Eiger ran like dook, so I took the air box cover off. RAN AMAZING. Definitely too fat a jet for high altitudes.

Is the "ATV Connection's article on the CVK32" still out there. Can't seem to find it.
On another note, it's great to see aksafari still on the forums after 2+ yrs of riding his Eiger. I'm a new owner of an '06 Eiger, first ATV, and I'm still getting my mind around all the upgrades and maintenance items.
Thanks.
