Default LTZ400 throttle cable problem ??

I was riding my Z400 in the woods when I took a sharp turn and all of a sudden the throttle went wide
open. (Very Scary) . Now I notice that if I pull on the throttle cable slack I can make the enngine rev
higher. Release the cable and the engine winds down. No need to touch the throttle.
Please help!

It sounds liek the cable was pulling away from the carb. It might have come loose, so that the cable can be pulled, and it pulls the cable inside also, so it revs up. There is usully a C-Clip holding the cable into the carb.
