why would pressure be building behind the stator cover?

Default why would pressure be building behind the stator cover?

i have blown the 2nd gasket from the stator cover on my 92 lt250r? any reason why pressure would be building up in there? the crank and balancer are both tight.

wouldnt there be a little gear oil leaking in there if it was bad?

Nope. Onyl fuel and air. The gear oil is confined to the tranny.

You SHOULD split the cases, but it can be done without.

Just stick a screw into the old seal (not too far!!) and use vise grips on the screw to yank it outta there. Then press the new one in and viola!

i don't want to sound lazy, but i will check my repair manual today, but where is the seal? do i take the stator cover off and where is it from there? anyone know if those big gasket kits off of ebay contain the crank seal?
