Default Plastic Weld

Surprise! I cracked the front plastic on my Vinson after over-correcting into a stump. Nothing major-you really have to look for it-I just want to keep the split from getting larger. Has anyone tried that Plastic Weld stuff? I don't care if it's pretty, or not. Just trying to keep the split from breeding!

Default Plastic Weld

Drill a hole on each side of the split and ''stitch'' it together with zip-ties.

Default Plastic Weld

Just got finished patchin' up the Vinson. Front grill/bumper(G/B) removal:5 Min. Plastic Weld mix and appl.:15 min. Screwin' around making a radiator guard:45 min. Re-installing G/B:1 hr., 1/2 gallon of sweat, and 322 cuss words!!!! End result: Priceless. I will NEVER take the G/B off again, unless absolutely necessary!!!
Seriously, that Plastic Weld stuff seems to work pretty good. After it cured, I flexed the crack and it held. As for the Zip-tie stitching-we performed surgery on my bud's Prairie, on the "mud-flaps"/ fender extensions and had moderate results. They ended up ripping through the extensions after he, lightly bumped a tree.

Happy 4th of July to all-especially our troops: May God be with you all!
