i have an 86 quadracer with sum carb problems. its missing all hoses and i have no idea what goes where. also, the little fitting on the bottom of the carb leaks gas and it wont stop unless i shut off the fuel. and another thing, , i just put in a new FMF fatty and i need to know how to adjust or jet my carb. i havent really done carbs before so this is a little new to me. the carb is the stock Mikuni.

whats up, i am kinda new also, but i can help. the hoses are easiest to look up in a book and see where they go, or maybe someone else can tell u exactly, thats just to much to type for me. the fitting on the bottom is to drain the bowl, so tighten it up and it should stop leaking, and the jetting, this is what fmf sent me for my 90250r
Jetting Information
Main Jet: 240
Pilot Jet: 30
Needle: STOCK
Needle Position: 3RD
Power Jet: N/A
Air Screw: 1.5
Fuel Screw: N/A

It might vary a little, but its a good starting point. hope it works for u

There are three vent hoses coming out of the carb. They all run to the back of the engine, under the airbox and just end in front of the swingarm. The one coming out of the bottom of the carb is the float bowl vent. If fuel is coming out of there, you need to adjust your float level. Drop 15 bucks on a Clymer manual and it will walk you through it.

2 stroke jetting is not easy. Your best bet would be to have a shop do it for you.

I wouldnt say that it's hard, it's just that they're not very forgiving like the 4-strokes. I would rather do a 2-cycle any day over the hard to get do 4-strokes.
