LT-F250 Relay or CDI moduel problem?
#1
I'm trying to get a LT-F250 going that is owned by the local town. They use it in the Street Department to spray weeds and such.
The unit will start and run untill the "starter" button is released. Then it acts as if the Run switch was shut off. With the starter button in, it will idle/ rev-up for as long as you want...but once the starter button is released, it shuts down.
The manual shows the wiring diagram, but it doesn't show the schematic for the "run" circuit.
If I'm reading the wiring diagram correctly...the "run" switch feeds the "starter button switch" that then goes to the "neutral switch relay" which turns power on to the "starter relay" and the engine turns over.
What feeds the "CDI Unit" control moduel?, and where is the CDI located? I'm assuming the CDI keeps the engine running but there is no information on how the "CDI Unit" works...is it a relay cluster? Where is it?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
