Anyone own a Vinson 500 4x4?
hello and welcome to ATV Connection. My step father has an 02 Vinson. He absolutely loves the atv. I had the chance to try it quite a few times. My opinion of the ATV is as follows:
- the ride quality is very smooth with great seating position.
- great power and very good fuel economy
- nice styling and very reliable (so far)
The only complaint he has with the atv is the crappy tires (Dunlop) and all plastic front end. So far he hasn't broken anything. Oh.....just though of something else. His rear brakes have been squeeling since the day he brought it home. The rear pads have been changed but it still does it. I'm not sure if the new one's do it or not.
That's all that I can think of for now

I am also curious about the Vinson. I am beginning to look for a second quad. I was going to buy a sport quad but now I'm leaning towards another utility. Time will tell.
I am considering the Kodiak 450 and Vinson manual shift at this time. So, I'm also interested if there have been problems with the Vinson. I have also been searching through peoples pictures for Vinson pictures.

Kodiac400 summed it up pretty much.
The plastic front can be replaced with an aftermarket bumper, as can the tires.
Believe me, these are two things that I am in the process of doing.
One more thing, the plastic screws they use to hold the plastic on, they leave
a lot to be desired. I have heard that honda screws fit in place....
Anyone care to comment???
Otherwise, a great machine indeed. Cant go wrong. No problems with brakes
on mine either. I love this machine. Biggest 5-speed ute you can get!!
