Lostdeep,

I am from WV also.. I dont think that is a good deal honestly.

Vinsons are $6199 MSRP. I think you can get one for $5700 out the door..

I am guessing that the dealer with this deal is in WV? If so you will have to pay taxes on it, then you will have to pay property tax each year.

If you buy out of state you wont have to pay taxes....or property taxes.. so you will save alot of $$$.

The tax (if you are quoting an OTD price from a WV dealer) comes to $372.

So the dealer if he is in WV is selling the bike to you for $5827

So I think $5700 or thereabouts is what you should be aiming for, by driving a few hours out of state.

If you absolutely must buy here in WV, give these guys a call 304/369-7171 That is Thornhills in Danville.
I bought 2 Suzukis from them and they gave me the best deal I could find.

Good Luck

Thornhills is the name and phone # that I gave him, they are great to work with.. if you are buying In-State.

For what its worth, and maybe to help you understand:

I am thinking of getting a 2005 Rincon. If I drive 8hrs to TN I can get one with $6499 TOTAL OTD.. The bike is not registered in WV so I dont have to pay WV taxes and property tax.

If I buy one here in Charleston it will cost me $7189 OTD taxes and all, and I will get a notice from the Sheriff every year to pay taxes on it, which will amount to around $35 or so per year.

Drive......and save $$....Drive and save $$$....

The only reason I would buy in-state is if I knew a dealer personally and he and I had an agreement on servicing the bike....He would cut me breaks, and give me A+++service and treatment from buying from him. If you are not mechanically inclined and do not buy an extended warranty I suggest you buy IN-STATE, because local dealers can get pissy if you bring in a new Quad with problems that you did not buy from them.. get my drift?

Good Luck
