Default 39MM CARB ON AN LT250R

My question is, is anyone out their running a 39mm carb on their lt250r. I just won one off ebay and am waiting for it. and i just read somthing that said that the bigger carb wolnt give it more top end and ill lose my low to mid range power and i dont see how. i should give me more rite? So can anyone running a bigger carb tell me if it really does that or not id really appriciate it.

yes 39MM will work since you have ported and polished your top end. I have 39MM Air stryker on mine and it rips big time.

I'm also running an oversized carb(38mm PJ). If you are switching from a mukuni to a keihin then the jetting numbers don't match. I'm running a keihin with a 160 main and a 55 pilot. My setup is as lean as i can safetly go so i'd start with a bigger main, say 180 and work your way down.

My carb is a Kehin 39MM Air stryker I will need to double check what i am running for jets as I do not remember. Im thinking something like 165 -168 or so on Main. Ill check but it depends where you live as well. I live in CA at sea level around 70 to 80 degrees where are you located with elevation temp etc?

I run a 39 PWK, but my ports are highly modified. You won't need quite a 180 jet. I run a 175 and it's still a little fat.. I would start with 170 and go down.
