Default What's a good Mud/Snow tire for a Z400? and best size...

Going out mudding and living in the N. East a decent Snow tire never hurts.

I am interested in the best all around and best size.

I am thinking of BearClaw or MudLite.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks
Steve

Genrally any tire that works great in mud is horrible in snow. They are two different materials. On snow and sand you want floatation and in mud you want to dig and bite. The best all around tire is the stock one ,thats why they come with them. I prefer a dedicated tire for each terrain.

umm i have maxxis all tracs on my warrior 22/11/9... i like em alot they seem to bite really good in mud and they did nice in the snow too last winter...its cool because they even howel on the road like a set mudders on a truck does, but if u want a more agressive tire go for the maxxis surtracks

The mudlite is a great, affordable mud/trail tire. Thats it. My buddy has them on a Lakota, and it is near unstoppable in the mud. In the snow the mudlite have a tendancy to dig you into a hole. Once you get momentum up, they will skim on the snow ok, but if you stop, or get slowed down, you are done. I'd get the mudlites if you need a good performing, cheap mud tire. Then I'd look to a slightly less agressive snow tire, like the Maxxis Zipper. If you can, I'd go a little wider than factory.
