We've had our 1st ATV, an Ozark, for 2 months now. We finally got a large storage bag to put on the rear rack. We will probably keep it on there all the time with some basic tools and gear in there.

My question is this:

What does everyone bring with them on their quad when out trail riding? Which tools or emergency equipment would you recommend? Right now we have the following items in there:

tire repair kit
a pump
slime
rain coat (it's rainy here)

The Ozark came with a few tiny basic tools in a small bag that is kept under the seat but that is all.

I'd appreciate it if experienced trail riders could just give me a short list of must-have items to bring along.

Id put my lunch in there and prolly like a 6 pack of beer

 

thats what I do to
If it breaks down I have my buddy tow me back to the truck then I work on it

 

A small tow rope, maybe some of the fix a flat in a can stuff. A small can of gas (if you want). Other then what you said, I think you'd be set.

 

no really I bring a small amount of tools, water, a tow rope and 2 spark plugs in case I have a problem
I leave all the main stuff back at the truck
If its little things that need fixed i'll do it on the trail
if it major I head back or tow it back

 

a small flashlight and vice grips too and definitly a tow rope

 

Don't forget a compass and some matches (in something waterproof).If there is any chance you might get lost or stuck overnight they will be a big help. Also, they are small and don't take up much space.
