how much work to fix cam chain?
#1
I have a buddies z 400 in the garage for a valve service(after 2 years, never done) and it is making an incredible amount of noise, the shop where I got the shims told me it's probably the cam chain after 2 years of very hard riding, how hard is it to put in a new chain?

Just got done having mine done. got charged for 5 hours. And after all that, i ran a compresion test and came up 120lb when it should be 140lb. So that means i have a blown compresion ring. theres another 5 hours

5 hrs for cams seems high if you have ever done them, i think i can do the ds in 2 maybe 3 hours and i'm not a shop. but they are rather easy to work on.
