Default T1500 Superwinch - enough for an Eiger 400

I bought a new Superwinch T1500 for $115 at a local store and am having second thoughts. Generally I will be using it for plow duty and if I get stuck, utility around the 2 acre yard, general use ice fishing hunting etc...

It will hold up just use a pulley block everytime. It will double the strength of the winch. It will also put less stress on the winch.

A pulley block can be used to double the winch's capacity by simply attaching the pulley block's hook directly to the load and the winch's hook to a sturdy mount near the winch.

A pulley block will double your load but will also cut your winching distance in half.

Here is a site with the Pulley Block (2227a) recommended for your Superwinch. www.bargaintools4u.com/p/Pulley/ Take a look at the pics and I think you will understand how it works.

Suzuki recommends a 2500lb winch for the Eiger.

A pulley block is good. It should get you out most of the time on its own. The hardest part is finding something big enough to tie onto.
I have one on my Foreman 450, almost three years old, so far so good.
