Qmaster front diff

I agree.
I think they would give Polaris a serious run for there money if they made a machine that was 500cc and had the King Quad style transmission and 4-wheel drive system. I am not an engineer but you would have to think Suzuki has a reason they have not put that combination on the market. After all we have been asking them for almost 10 years to give the King Quad a bigger engine. No luck yet.......

I'm waiting for the 2001 Quadrunner 500 to come out in a few weeks. It will have selectable 2WD and 4WD and a 5 speed trans. I have a QuadMaster 500 right now, and it's a great bike except I'm not crazy about the belt drive. It's for sale on ebay right now. Great deal!

Sorry, guess I misunderstood the above question. I read the review on the KingQuad and now I see what you're talking about. I didn't know it had a true locking front differential. You're right, that would be awesome. I don't know why they can't combine all of the good features in one bike. That would be awesome on the QuadMaster and QuadRunner.

I wonder if you can get a locker for the 500? I know the locking diff in my KQ is awesome ... one of the features that sold me on the KQ. I am looking at the 500 Quadrunner, not the Quadmaster for a future purchase, but if you have a master now you may want to try:
ATVlocker just to see what they may have, or may be working on. I don't think you can put the diff lock in and take it out as on the KQ, so I would be interested in how it steers, but with a nice set of tires and the locker I would think the 500 would be an awesome mud machine. I don't think much about the belts for an ATV, but better then no ATV at all.

The reason they don't put lockers in the 500 is because the 300 will break front CV joints in the right situation. The 500 with that much power def would break them all the time. Polaris 500 have a problem breaking front CV joints, I know off a few.
