What do you think is better?

My personal opinion is that bikes are faster in the straights but they seem like they can not turn as fast as quads so they would have there own advantages.

my opinion is if youre a good bike rider you will be faster in everything other than mud/snow than a quad.

Which do you like best? Apples or Oranges?

Bikes and ATV's share some likeness on things they do but it's hard to compare them.

As far the ATV being a better turner, even that has some qualifications, when I rode dirt bikes all I needed was a 2-3" berm to lock into. Once I was in it it was WOT with little loss of traction.

It depends on where your at. Bike's are more fun for jumps, whoops, single track and Quads are more fun on the dunes and soft terrain.

Quads are better for all around use that's for sure.... For racing I'll put a KTM525sx against any quad...past or present. Dirtbikes have arm-ripping power that quads only can buy for $3 grand or so!!!!!!

yeah I agree with your above posts. I need more opinions because I have to research this topic for a school project. I like seeing that you owned a GSX-R 750 I have always loved suzuki motorcycles and think nothing is better. I aint stubburn about it though I do like the new ZX 10r

Yeah, put a berm on that turn, and it will be a good race!

One thing about a GSX-R750 is that it always will give 1K bike headaches all day long...... because there that damn good!!!!! Also, KTM give the most variety of off-road bikes of any company.

If your running winding, loose gravel roads or slick trails with lots of turns a good quad will spank a bike everytime.

my personal opinon is that quads are slower.... not by acceleration.. but by top speed becuase they are so heavy.... but dirtbikes are faster by top speed.. however though.. dirtbikes are not really made to be raced by quads in the end anyway.. quads race quads and bikes race bikes... just my opinion
