Hey i have a suzuki 1986 250R I been having clutch problems. I was wondering can smeone tell me the order of how the clutches should go on to the clutch basket? what i have right now is first the spacer rings then a metal disc then fiber then metal then fiber then metal then fiberect and the last one i put on was a metal disc then the other 1/2 of the clutch basket. Does this sound right?
thanks,
jimmy

im prety sure your fiber plates-not the metal ones should go on first and last, that way there is no metal on metal.Look on www.ronnies.com or www.bikebandit.com they have the parts diagrams on there websites

the fiber definately goes on first and last if you do it the other way it will ruin the basket, you should have 1 more fiber than metal disc, if your fed up how much do you want for it?

I just rebuilt my clutch, '85.
first is the 2 wave-rings that flex under load. then the THICK metal disc, and the little wire thingy holds that all onto the bottom of the basket.
Then you have 6 fiber-discs and 5 metal-discs. start with a fiber, and alternate until the 6th fiber is on, then the outer clutch-cover-plate-thingy goes on.
the 5 outer metal discs are thinner than the very bottom one that is under the wire.
