Default Z400 Exhaust Debate...

I've seen pleny kawisukicats with pipes, and ct performs the best. Better than the yoshi, the pro circuit, and even the hmf. Pro circuit would be near dead last on my list for any four stroke machine.

When I think of Pro Circuit I think of the early nintey's and dirt bikes.
When I raced dirt bikes back then Pro Circuit & FMF were the top dogs.

Interesting... Dirt Wheels Rated the Pro Circuit just as good as the CT Racing!

The Yoshi pipe, if you look at the dyno results from the Dirt Wheels test, the power band just isn't smooth, it kind if just zig zags up threw the power range..

True the CT looks the best on the Dyno.. I really don't want the Disk type Spark Arrestor though...

Supposidly the Yoshi pipe can get to 94DB with their inserts... however after seeing the zig zag power, i am kind of disturbed.

I still don't see Pro Circuit as a bad thing.. On the Dyno they look good....
I am also still thinking the HMF, but it sucks not being about to hear these pipes before making an educated choice... Because if its too blistering loud, i am not gonna want to keep the pipe.

There werent as many companies around making pipes ten years or more ago. Pro circuit makes good 2 stroke pipes, but I wouldnt put one on a four stroke, at least not an atv.

The HMF is the louder of most pipes. if you want quiet and power I recommend the CT pipe. MY HMF is really loud. I like it but some people might be annoyed by it if you ride around farms and stuff.

The HMF pipe sounds like a 1500cc choper, seriously.I love it,a couple blips of the throttle and peeps turn there heads like "oh chit" wtf does he have.

The White Bros. E-Series is great. Looks good, sounds good, and delivers the power.
Just my opinion...

My friend had the Yosh pipe and I had the CT. We both agreed the CT was faster than the Yosh. Our bikes were the same before and after installing K & N filters and proper jetting, the CT fitted bike was a little more powerful.

*Beats his head on the desk* Everything points to the CT, but i just can't stand the Disc type spark arrestor, it looks soo stupid, and it has got to restrict the flow!

*Deep though* How would anyone know if you had an internal screen type spark arrestor or not?

*Side Thought* From what i gather, the Yosh pipe is really made for massive modifications, From reading, and suggestions made by some pro's, i believe that the Yosh pipe is good for a stock setup, but GREAT for a High performance racing type setup.. Just a thought...

Does anyone have a sound clip or video clip of a CT pipe on a Z400 or KFX400? and/or can anyone with the CT pipe make one?

Thanks,

Chad
