I always like to see a Zilla that has been cleaned up, it Pi$$es me off to look on E-bay and see an entire 500 parted out, even though I have aquired many parts that way, its still a bummer.Good Job CT.

Thanks, Im still doing the plastic Renu on the rear plastics but im in no rush cause i kind of like the look with just a back seat. the seat holds your legs in with the curve and its easier to kickstart without the plastic in the way too. only problem with it is its leaking a little tranny oil out the bottom and the frame is tweaked especially the front end. Ill try and post some pics tomarrow of the front end. I had my guy straiten it the best he could and weld it so its all sound as far as coming apart. I ajusted the toe-in by eye and it doesnt pull to the side anymore going forward but if your pushing it backwards on pavement it turns one direction. Id like to get a new frame but the pull is not noticeable at all although it would probably be a little less squirly at high speeds on pavement if the frame was strait and true to start with. At this point though, I ride in fields and wooded trails with mud and such so I dont think i want to put the time or money into polishing the engine or anything like that. I just try to keep it clean. the midpipe started to get surface rust so i brushed it down with a steel wire brush and when i get back from school over columbus day im going to paint it silver with some high temp engine paint. the DG is loud but Im happy with the power. its better then my friend's 87 zilla that had an FMF pipe on it. I dont ever hear much about a DG pipe for it I dont know if they still make one or not but id like to see numbers of its comparison to the PT or the LRD. im not saying its as good but i think its somehwere in the middle of the FMF and those two pipes
