Just enough so that the average joe blow can't jump on and nail the throttle and send himself over backwards.

To put it into perspective, my basically stock '02 P650 out pulled it by 32 feet and inches. I sure hope that for all the people that have been waiting on the King Quad that that is what they are looking for. I realize that the aftermarket can and probably will come to the rescue, but for Suzuki to release a product that had so much hype fabricated around it will be dissapointing to those that have been waiting for it. All i can say is make sure you test ride one before buying on hype alone.

Wow hellyeh........how did you get a chance to go up against one????? I agree...the hype has been almost to the point of stupid.I am interested in one but I am afraid it will be anti-climatic. They are out there.........they have been tested.....hell Suzuki is advertising special deals on them on t.v.They just forgot to mention they were not out yet.

Yes they are out, i'm not $hitting you!! The Sukuki rep for our area brought one to the rally/pulls last weekend. My sponsor is one of Canada's top 10 dealers and i guess this is one of the perks.

No, they are not out. Every KQ that has been seen in public to this date is a pre-production unit. Those don't count.

Rumors have it that new ones are in a dealerships being asembled today. It is possible that you may see some soon.

Preproduction models do not count because:

1. They are not for sale. Most peopl are interested in the KQ to BUY it.

2. They often are different in significant ways than the production model. Sometimes the safety features and power limiters are not on the preprodution models.

In the past, preproduction models have been quite different than the real thing. The prairie 650 was extremely detuned from the preprod model.

It looks like someone found a dealer that has a crate with a new KQ in it.

I do not believe that the KQ hellyah mentioned was a real KQ, just a preprod. The time frame is too old. A suzi rep rolled a preprod already. There is a fleet of preprod models out there that are doing specific tasks that are beneficial to suzuki, like being tested by aftermarkets and running races and stuff.

Whatever you think nyroc, i know what i saw, sat on and rode with that day. Maybe you just need to accept that maybe someone else knows things before you!!!! If what you believe is that the "make believe" King Quad that i "saw" will be de-tuned even more then God help Suzuki !!!

Another thing i would like to add nyroc, since when do manufacturers offer test rides to the general public as was the case last weekend. If this "imaginary" King Quad i speak of was a pre-production unit, then i highly doubt that "Joe Blow" would be taking it for a test ride. You stand corrected!!!
