I don't think there was any de-tuning of anything. This KQ runs strong!

cc1999,
I am also waiting for the Outlander800, the quad is pretty well ready, it should be out by mid to late springtime. The longer it rippens the sweeter it gets!

JUst picked up my KQ 700. I traded in my 04 Grizz. I made the dealership put my Maxxis Big Horns and ITP type 6 wheels on the KQ. I never rode it with the stockers however, the Bighorns on this quad are awsome. It handles very simalar to the Rincon with little to no body roll. The coparson between the grizz and the KQ is there is none. The power is immedaite to the throttle unlike the grizz. I plan on riding Enroee trails in SC this Sunday and i will be sure to have pictures taken. A funny note: I asked the tech where the petcock is on the KQ and he just looked at me and said "Its EFI jackass".

Ok to say a p650 can out pull a KQ is freaking dumb, how long has this bike been out? Even in drags rider skill and knowlage of the bike are the key factor to a point. Dont get me wrong i know a p650 can out pull a 400 eiger, But come on this bike has the power just needs the rider with the knowlage of the bike which u can only get from riding it.

The plastic piece that looks like a front bumper is just a fascia. 4 plastic pop thingies and the bumper cover is off. Underneath it is a thin bumper. It's not beefy like a prairie. Oh well, I'll be removing the stocker anyway, so who cares, right? I think it will look bad A$$ with a big beefy aluminum bumper. Mine just turned 11 miles and as it is breaking in, I am loving it more and more. It has an awesome midrange hit. It's absolutely killer!
