Speed shifting, if I remember right, is keeping the power , full on, while shifting. It can be tough on parts,( especially when someone first tries it) and only fractionally faster. Its a trade off, how much do you want to spend , fixing broken parts, compared to going fractionally faster.

speed shifting is when you dont use the clutch. power shifting is when you are on the gas when you shift. either way it is hard on the machine. speed shifting will kill your trannie in no time at all. (most guys with dead raptor trannies) sure you can do it, but dont expect to be able to do it forever
