Default 2000 King Quad Overheating Problems

I use the King Quad primarily for icefishing and never have any problems, probably because it's so cold however when I run it on the trails it overheats I know it is not due to lack of oil change or problems with the oil filter as I change oil and filter frequently It's happened a couple of times now. I am suspecting that the oil cooler may have some swamp debris in it. The Quad was used to pull a snowmobile that had broken through the ice out of a swampy area and the whole machine was full of lots of swamp goo. I will check the oil cooler to make sure that that is not the problem. If it is , it's a simple fix.
Has anyone else experienced overheating problems with their King Quad. Any ideas or suggestions if it's not the oil cooler?

Thanks in advance
HarleyJake

As you have said check your oil cooler, and also depending apon the age of the King wither it has a Fan for cooling the engine .If so check that it is working as sticks sometimes get jammed in the blades of the fan and blow the fuse , also check the oil temp switch works for the fan.
Hope this helps.

Also if your mixture is too Lean this can cause your engine to run at a higher temperature
