Default King Quad or Brute Force?????????????

Hello,
I am wondering if I should trade in my 2002 Prairie 650 for one of the new
Brute Force machines or wait and see the new King Quads. I use to own a King
Quad many years ago but traded up to the big engine machines since. I have
owned a Sportsman and a Grizzly and now the Prairie. All had things I liked
about them and things I did not.

I really like my 650 but like to trade every three years or so. At times I
wish I had more ground clearance on the 650 as I use it in Canada each
November hunting and I do bottom out at times in the frozen ruts there. On
the other hand I do some goose hunting in the hills of South Dakota and I
like the fact that it does not have a lot of ground clearance. It is not
"tippy" like the Grizzly I had that I had put a lift kit on.

I like the look of the Brute Force but wonder if it might be a bit more
"tippy" than my 650. Maybe the independent suspension will compensate for
that if I hit a rock on a side hill. I am not sure. I know it will be better
going over deep ruts than my 650.

I need to look at the King Quads now. No one has them yet in this country.

I use my ATV's for spraying on flat ground, making trails in heavy rushes,
hunting in Canada in the winter and a bit of goose hunting in hilly country
but the goose hunting and riding over hilly country is rare and only once
every couple of years for a weekend.

If any of you guys think that I would benefit from trading up to the Brute
Force or King Quad, I sure would love to hear from you. I really would
appreciate your advice.

Thanks a lot and have a great Fall.

If your worried about tippyness, then the BF won't be to your liken. If you want a atv that handles allmost as good as your Praire, but give you a better ride, then the KQ is your choice.

Yes, the King Quads 700EFI have arrived in Canada because we have them here in Quebec.

I have tried every 2005 Big Bore Sport/Utilities and I still personnally prefer the Prairie 700. But, for higher ground clearence and IRS equiped quad the Suzuki King Quad and Kawasaki Brute Force are the top choices. All depends on your budget. If you are looking for the most interesting quad for the money the King Quad is your choice, but if you want the best IRS quad, then the Brute Force equiped with an Elka suspension is your choice (the strongest and best handling IRS quad out there).

Wouldn't the Elka suspension add close to, if not over $1000? I just don't think that's worth it unless you feel you absolutely HAVE to have that little extra pep from the Brute's 750. I would get the KingQuad and wait on the power programmers to start coming out

The brute is faster then the king quad just put more offset wheels on it and it rides alot better.

Thanks a lot guys for your great comments. I really appreciate it......................Not sure which way I will go. There really is nothing wrong with my 2002 650. Just like to trade up every three years.

I will ride the new King Quad when they are available.........I rode a Brute but could not see where it rode better
than my Prairie but I was riding on a trail and not in the rough stuff...........

bad02shee, what did you mean in your message? Could you explain? Would appreciate it.

Thanks again you guys. Sure am thankful for your help!

Default King Quad or Brute Force?????????????

Thanks to all for your great comments. I really appreciate it!!! I will wait to drive the King Quad when they are
available here. Really want to ride one before I make a decision.

Can you tell me more about this SP-800? Who makes this machine?

Thanks a lot for your help and you all have a great fall.

I'll be the "odd-man-out" and suggest that you may be happier with a solid rear axle machine. It sounds like you use the quad for mostly utility type stuff, a big heavy sprayer will get an IRS rear end squating pretty good. About how much does your sprayer weigh, how many gallons??

Ride an IRS machine or two, it's a different feeling than you Prairie. If you can get used to the body role of an IRS and if it will work with your sprayer etc then it would probalby be more comfortable to be on all day.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Heavy Rushes", is that swampy stuff or brushy stuff. I know people will disagree with me here buy the Prairie has about the most well protected vitals (CV joints, Radiator, etc) of any quad out there. Not only are the KQ and the BF not as well protected but they also add 4 more CV boots to look after. Might be something to consider on a mostly utility quad.

Just some random ramblings hope it helps.
