QUADZILLA TACH?? REV LIMIT??HELP!
actually most exhaust pipes (2 stroke) are designed to limit revs to a pre-determined level... all depending on what the designer/manufacturer had in mind.
What I mean is a motor will stop making power or 'fall off' the powerband when the rpm approaches the designed limit..
You'll feel the motor stop pulling at this point, thus indicating you should shift.
4 strokers are significantly different, so don't confuse the two.
A stock 500 motor really doesn't like to rev all that much... it should be pretty obvious once you get a little seat time.

the zilla is has to much mass on the moving parts piston, crank, etc. that it will vibrate it self apart. basicilly the damn thing makes its 50 hp by shear torque not rpms. 7 is about all you can get out of them. pushing it past that and bye-bye bottom end.
