Default A Zilla losing to a Raptor ???

Ok I agree that the 87 Zilla has prob's with head gasket's,as mine did when I first got it.I changed and spent money on 2 head gasket's before I took the time to see what was going on with it.What I found at that time was 2 stud's were stripped out, stupid me for not paying attention, after tapping the stud hole's to fit a 3/8 stud it cured it for a little while, then the problem reoccured again.I checked all the stud's to make sure they were still at torque spec's,and they were.
I took the engine to Vito and had him go through the engine as well with putting mod's in it.I told him about the head gasket prob. and he found that the head and the jug were not truely flat, anyway's he milled them both and thus cured the problem.I haven't had trouble's with that since and it's been 8 year's.I agree that the crank bearing journal's are weak and need insert's to fix them from failing, another way to prevent this from happening is to have your engine builder open the oil journal's in the case's beside the crank,Vito opened the one's in my engine and my engine does not have the case insert's in it,at all to this day and it hold's up Great under HIGH R.P.M.'S,even with the N.O.S. engaged.
Roostking,I'm sure your Shee is fast, but your 420 kit won't stand a chance against my Zilla, even with the N.O.S. disconnected and on gas,and I'm not saying that my ride is the fastest,it's not, and it's no fish tale niether.

those are some bold words there zukzilla.
a 12mm banshee on pump gas can make 90 hp with mild port work. A drag 12mm on alky can easily put out 120 hp. I've never even heard of a zilla breaking the 90 hp mark much less the 120 hp mark a 12mm is capable of. What kinda times does your zilla run anyway 300ft? A 12mm will get into the high 3's pretty easily. Hell there are some true 350 banshee's that will break into the 3's.

True BigSix,My repley was toward Roostking. Not knocking the shee I've raced on one too and if I had the cash I would buy and turn one into a dragger.Like I said my Zilla is'nt the fastest out there, and I have had my butt handed to me from a Honda 250r that Vito had done for a guy,I may have been right on his tail but a loss is a loss.

someone will always be faster, its plain and simple. 420 ported worked shee vs. a stock 500r. now a 240 blaster done right can beat a "stock" shee. if you want something fast get a dirtbike.
