Riding Pants
#1
Looking at some riding pants (the jeans aren't cutting it anymore!) and had a question about the sizing. From what I've been seeing the inseams are totally short! I'm assuming perhaps this is due to the fact that they are designed to fit inside moto-x boots? Since I'm not a full sport guy I'd really just like a nice solid black or grey pair that would slip OVER boots. Nothing fancy like moto-x, sport ATV pants. Any suggestions? I'm 6'-5" so I'm needed some fairly long ones. 36" inseam. Thanks.

i would check out the oneal freeride, fox panther, no fear tank, the shift recon or squadron, LBZ freeride pant, and also the MSR ISDE pant, Moose expedition pant, Moose Monarch pass pant
the last 3 are more suited for colder weather riding

Those pants that you wear outside the boot, get trashed in a real big hurry. And, if you have a header with no heat shield, well plastic melts real easy.
I know a lot of people don't wear MX boots when they ride, but take my word for it, someday a pair could save your bacon. I have Alpinestars Tech 4's with a lugged sole, that I use for riding (on the utes) in the mountains. They are every bit as comfortable as a pair of work boots, and I could easily hike all day in these things. And, this is big time rattlesnake country, and a high boot with lots of plastic on it is the ticket! (If you happened to see "Venom ER" on Animal Planet, that was filmed here at the university hospital.)

I have MSR pants and they are the same size as my jeans. I wear them with Tech 6 boots and both are very comfortable
Recon, Rattlesnake bites do some nasty damagethat doctor is pretty cool

Buy boots, you will not regret it. I've had them on two rides, and I can think of a couple instances where they saved my *** or helped me land a bad jump. I have Thor T-30's and these things are incredibly comfortable. I also have Thor pants and they're very nice as well. I can actually stretch them over the boot.
