If Suzuki's are so great, why do people race the Honda's and not as many Suzuki's?

I honestly am just looking for some opinions, and hoping I will get some

I've ridden both Honda's and LT's, I own LT's because they are cheaper to buy. I know that I have a slow '85 model, but I want to know what I should be looking for... Do Honda's handle so much better? are they more powerful? more reliable? lighter weight?

HAHA--Whos piece of sh*t banshee did you race with your not running rght quadracer.stang?shees are by no means slow, yes they are all top end and i like my 87 quadracer better, but my 91 and 99 banshees will outrun my stock lt,and they are only piped/jetted. It would take a pretty serious lt250 to outrun a good running piped banshee. Most people like lt's better because they have a more useable power range, and are lighter and handle better. tecates were the fastest, then lt250's and then honda trx250.the hondas handle the best, then the lt then the tecate. banshees handle like 2 ton tanks, wich is why i dont like them.but to say that banshess are terds in the speed department is rediculous. . i own a fresh 87 quadracer and two banshees, and the banshees are faster, but i hate riding them ----ps.my friends bone stock 04 banshee will outrun my 87 lt. theyve been one of the fastest quads since like 1986 or 1987,everyone knows that.maybe not the fastest, but really fast................................maybe a good running 87-92 quadracer would beet a worn out banshee, but its going to take a trunkload of mods and a good rider for someone on a 85-86 lt to even come close to hangin with a good running banshee.unless the guy riding the banshee is asleep or in a coma. ----------------by the way stang that is a very nice looking 87!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN I HAVE IT?------------im not trying to start an argument,lt250's rule, but for the love of god banshees are not slow!!
