Can you go with a larger wheel/tire kit than stock on the KQ? Is there clearance? Will it improve anything other than the looks? Those ITP wheels and ITP589 tires sure look nice.

 

Yes you can go bigger with tire size.I'm not sure but I think you could get up to 27" tires.The advantages are: alot of mud tires are 6 ply,they go through way more terrain than stockers,looks,more clearance,less body roll,and less tippy handling or flex of the sidewall.

 

Hey JT........Congrats on the KQ.........when I picked mine up, Carol @ Wind River thought you were going to buy at LC in MN(?) That's assuming that you are the same person as the "J***" from Mora. I had the same impression as you of LC - uniformed and lazy.

On the issue of wheels.......are you sticking with the stock aluminum rims or are you going with aftermarket wheels? If you are going with aftermarket, have you considered slightly more offset (ay an inch or 2) to the outside or are you going with stock offset?

On tires.......I think I'm sticking with 26"........I have 26" ITP 589's on my Rubi and like them......since we really don't have deep mud to deal with on a regular basis, bigger tires and lifts aren't worth the tradeoffs to me. What is your latest thought on tires?

 

I did get mine from Wild River cause Larson's are lazy and slow(uncaring).Although they gave my deposit back and treated me happily,so there's no hard feelings!I think I'm bonna go with 26" Mudhogs,cause I can't find anything compareable to the price from Rocky Mountain ATV.I will be going with C-series type 5's.By the way is your name Paul?

I picked mine up last weekend and have been looking for rims and tires too. I was told by itp tech that the c5 wheels should not be used on a heavey quad .If you hit rocks or jump hard the wheel can crack so iam looking at straight c wheels and 27 mud lights
