Default gearing for dyno run

does gearing change the HP readings a lot when on a dyno
I was running 14/39 on the dyno and got 44hp at the wheels
to get more hp out of the bike which gear ratio would be best
and still have speed

Don't you want to run the gearing you use out on the trail??? If you change your gearing just for the dyno, those numbers won't mean anything out in the real world!

I had my shedders on the rear they pump the tire pressure up
I was running 14/39 gears. I was told today that if I go back to stock
gearing or smaller on the front it will produce more hp
the more its geared for top speed the less hp you have
if thats true I dont know

Not sure if gearing plays a factor or not...

Well consider this...a bigger tire could be considered a "gear change". Stay with me on this...if you were to put 25" tires of the same make and model, it would take longer to reach the upper RPM"S where you make peak HP, but once you reached those RPM's wouldn't the HP be the same? I believe if I took my quad and put say an 11 tooth FS and 44 Rear, in theory, it would rev much faster, but I'd guess the HP would be the same when all was said and done. I CAN see it making a difference in torque, however.

I run 13-41 gearing on mine with the stocker tires if I don't have slicks. (My stockers are close to bald anyways....LOL)

If somebody can correct me, please do so. That is just my theory.
