I had a PE 400 suzuki that was the same way, accept the occasional fouled plug. I then decided one day to upgrade, xr600r, good bike but always required a lot of moneytaince.

ya know what I think is funny is,we all know about the ported power piston,s,well I bought an old yammy 80cc 2 stroke enduro,it needed some work.I took the engine apart, first with the top end of course, and to my discovery the piston was original and was a ported power piston.Kinda weird knowing this and paying extra for someone else claiming they came up with this technology when Yamaha already did.

the milage is someware around 10000 i havent ridden it in a year, because of moving and due to lack of room(even tho i have 1000x more room now!) i was just i was gettin my shop all done, and now i am going to go pick it up from albany in the week. it hasnt been started for over a year! we shall see if she starts right up again.

i know for me the bike is world slower than my motocross 250, but heck its just a fun trail bike, that can be ridden on the street or a night, to putt around on.

i will give that salvage yard a call soon.

everyone needs to get some pictures of there vintage bikes, just to see after 30 something years they look like. mine is 31 years old almost 32. in prestine condition i saw 1 orange one like mine go for 6700 and a blue one go for 6300$ unbeliveable!!!!.

I recently aquired a 78 Yamaha DT400. Classic DumpTruck. The signals are gone, and the tank has some dents. Has about 4,000 kilometers. Was originally Canadian. It runs great, and has impresive power. It's scary going 110khm on tires that are almost 25 years old. It's in good mechanical shape, but is also in need of a filter. It's fun to ride on the trails if its dry. I try not to get it of the ground, even though it does have a monoshock.

the ts is a little heavy and i would never think of jumping it with the shocks that dont rebound, that type of fun is saved for my motocross 250.
