Default King Quad Reverse Issue?

I been following a thread on the Hi Lifter forum about a possible failed reverse system on the new King Quad. Has anyone here experienced the problem?

I've also been watching that thread..........so far, it does not seem to have affected very many, and no one has responded here as yet. I was planning to buy one this week, but am taking a wait & see approach for the time being. The extended warranty is more attractive by the minute.

I dont YET feel like we have an EPIDEMIC of problems with this reverse issue.Mine is fine so far and so are most others. In fact,I only know of 2-3 folks that are having a problem with the KQs reverse out of all the ATV related forums I visit.

Lets hope it stays that way?

Bill

Default King Quad Reverse Issue?

Hey all. No major issues with mine yet. I now have about 5 hours on mine and all seems to be holding up! I do notice when stopped on a hill and killing the engine, it is tough to get the selector switch back in neutral again. I guess this is because the trans is holding the entire quad? ( I know, I know I should have not disengaged the parking brake first) Never had this issue with my older Rubicon though.

Yeah, my Ac would do that too, the trannys are a similar setup..so it might just be a deal we adjust too...leave brake on I guess if your in that situation. I like the gate set up for the selector though, My Ac would act like it was in a range and then growl because it wasn't perfectly linned up, you learn to work with each type of design. The kawai 4x4 has to roll a few inches to engage somtimes..they just learn to put it 4x4 before they need it...No reverse problems yet!

Me too. Just hope it is a faulty batch of parts, not a design flaw.
