It has taken Suzuki so long to get the dirt bike to market, I wouldn't expect a quad for a good long time. Being a late arrival, isn't going to kill Suzuki anyway! They have the advantage of copying the good things from their comptitiors machines (which they apearently don't mind doing), and improving on what isn't so good. Look at the Z400 (a 400EX knockoff but with a much better motor). You would have thought the market was saturated and everybody who wanted a Z, already had a 400EX. Yet Suzuki is selling every one they can make.

I don't know about the rest of the country, but around here a dealer can sell ANYTHING. You go to a huge dealership like Chaparral, and the turnover of bikes on the sales floor is constant. (The only thing that may sit there a while are the utilities, and even they are finally catching on around here.) Why should Suzuki kill itself to release a new quad, when they are making big money selling the Z400.

I read in ATV RIDER that DOUG GUST and JEREMIAH JONES will be switching to the NEW Suzuki 450 QUAD around the mid-way point in the GNC season...............Who Knows

 

I do think a suzuki 450 quad will show up around 2006, I have read many articles in magazines about suzuki planning on taking thier new 450 motor from the dirtbike and putting it in a quad frame. They even had interviews of suzuki's workers(PRESIDENTS) talking about this quad, if it does come out it will be race ready and going to try and knock out the YFZ.

I just got back from a " welcome home party " for a friend of mine who was stationed in Korea. Anyways to get to the point one of our local suzuki dealers was there and I started asking him when suzuki was going to bring thier 450 atv out and he said that they do have some info on it but he was kinda hush hush and wouldn't give me any other details but he did say to swing by in the next couple of months and he would show me what he had .. I made it pretty clear to him that I was talking about the atv and not the dirtbike so hopefully he wasnt talking about the dirtbike so i'm curious to see what info he has. It is possible that some dealers maybe not all but some of the bigger dealers may have info .. Don't start bashing or calling bull $hit because i'm Not saying they have the release date or the exact specs but they may know more than they tell you .. I will find out what i can and check back with any info i can get.
