LTZ250 Stiff Suspension

LTZ250 Stiff Suspension
I was doing some checking on one of the machines this week and noticed how much resistence there was in the travel of the front suspension w/o the shock. I speaking with some suspensions gurus I know, one sugested to loosen the A-Arm bushings bolts and see if the resistence goes away. The bushings in the LTZ250 are a rubber type, with Ny-Lock nuts. So I loosened the bolts to where they would spin freely. Amazingly the suspension would travel effortlessly. So I snugged up each bolt until I felt resistence in the travel and then backed off a touch. I only did this to one A-Arm so far the other (3) are going to gert done today. It will be interesting what Suzuki specs the torque on the bolt ? I am going to take one of the A-Arms off to check the sleeve adn bushing diameter to see if can be replaced with either an aftermarket or something like the Z400's use. We'll see. I can post photos of the differences in travel if you would like to see them.
