I have a '91 quadracer and was wondering if I could shave the head .20", have good clearance and still run on pump gas. Any advice would be helpful, Thanks

I know if you shave the head the compression ratio will be higher and you might not be able to run pump gas if its to high
talk to a good rebuilder about it before you shave it

i dont think you would have any problem with .20, i took .15 and feel i could have taken it to .20, next time i have it apart i will do it. I dont know if it made a difference though cause I did it when i did a rebuild.

I only tooko mine .015 as well. If you take any more you start losing the squish area and that is not good for power. If you can have the squish area redone then go for it.
