Default idle with z250

I own a z250 and the idle seems a little to high. When I change into 1st gear it jumps forward. How would I lower it?

theres a little black **** on the left side of the engine. Start the quad and turn the **** left or right i forget which way and youll hear it idle lower or higher. Make sure u give it a little gas every few seconds to see how high it idles. Also make sure your choke isnt on when you do this or youll mess it up

Would I need a tachometer, or can I do it by ear? Do you remember if you turn it to the right or to the left? Thanks alot!!!

Right increases idle, left decreases. Do it by ear. Let it warm up good and warm. Then turn it left in half turn increments until it stalls. Then turn it a half turn right and you should be set.
