wiseco crankshaft lt250r
It’s been a while since I posted. I have been very busy with my quadracer project. I’m finally at the point where I am ready to rebuild the motor and decided the lower rod bearings have to go. After talking with a few machinists and mechanics I’ve decided it is better to just replace the whole crankshaft assembly instead of just the connecting rod since the price isn’t that much higher and the alignment will be perfect.
So here’s the question. Wiseco makes a crankshaft assembly that is listed to fit a 88-92 lt250r. Suzuki OEM part numbers for the 87 and 88 are exactly the same. I called Wiseco to ask if their crankshaft assembly would fit an 87 and the replied that it would not. I then informed them that the Suzuki part numbers were the same for both the 88 and the 87. I was given a “it might fit but we can’t guarantee it” for an answer. Does anyone know if this will fit for sure or do I have to be the test subject this time?

Wiseco hot rod crankshafts are the same from 87-92,i dont know why they list that the 87 is diferent.the 87 and 88 cylinders and pistons are diferent, but the bottom ends of the motor are identical. how do i know? because i my 87 has a braND new hot rod crank in it,they are exactly identical.,and because my shop said they are the same (part numbers),and because my mechanic made sure by comparing the old and new ones
