new Z400 or new predator?
I have a buddy that has a 03 Z....he was jumping and bent the frame. Ihope they have made some changes on the frame. As far as the lump in he seat not no more. The Pred is a great trail quad. And yes they are heavier then the Z but they are built to last. Polaris does stand behind there quads, have of the **** on here is here say. I raced a nice looking Z about 3 week ago. It had to be the best looking Z I have ever seen. I'm sorry but the best thing the suzuki made was the RM. I have rode dirt bikes all my life, and Suzuki was one of the best. So i'm not bad mouthing Suzuki, I rode my RM for years and never had a problem. The best thing to do....that is you havent already is ride both and see what you think.

Im sorry, but if the frame bent from jumping, it was your buddy that bent the frame not the quad!
Im glad to see you like the RM's, I used to ride one as well. But I assure you the fit and finish on the Z is very nice and thought through, even if it is an updated copy of the 400ex! What's funny is that up until about 2002, I actually despized Suzuki and said I would never own one, and no I have owned two!

The z quads had notoriously weak frames during the 03 run, many people bent them just by trail riding without any collisions. Search and educate yourself if need be, but it was a factory problem and not a rider issue. While its possible that the rider in this case may have stressed the bike, unless he had a major collision or a very, very harsh landing then the frame should have held true.

that would be a tough choice. the pred is heavier buit it comes with a chromoly swinger standard and has 100 cc displacement advantage. the suzuki is , from what i have heard, the most comfortable sport quad out and with the new shocks it handles even better than before. if your going to wait suzuki is probably coming out with a 450 sooner or later as well.

I have heard of frames cracking in specific areas on the 03's but do you have any idea how hard it is to bend a frame from silly little mishaps! So don't you be telling me I need to be educated considering I own one and go to the races all the time, I think I would see a few bent (not cracked) frames!

Look man, I don't want to argue over something stupid. So if you want to say Im wrong that is fine, you've seen what you have, and I have as well. We all ride and that is all that matters, so wecan talk later about whatever.
And the educated thing directed towards you
