I would like to hear form anyone who ran works shocks in thier quadracers.

Which type did you run?

How much improvent did you notice over the stockers?

Did you think they were worth the money?

How are they holding up?

What kind of riding do you do?

 

Im running a Brand New Works Rear shock. The stock on was dead and it was at a point to where it was worth rebuilding. Its cost me a few bucks but it was well worth it. I basically do dessert riding and a lot of jumping.

Yes these are Maier plastic. I am please with them as well. I am also looking into replacing my front shocks and have some of the same questions as you.

 

I am running works front shocks (dual rate without the res cans) way way better then stock . can hit woops at full throttle now! need to rebuild rear shock now.

My only concern about the works shocks are that i hear others talk about how they are an inprovement over the stockers but not soo much so that they warrent the expense. Considering how bad the old suzuki shocks are i'm sure they should be worth the cost.

I'd like to hear more input but as of right now i'm going with a pair of works triple rate with rezzies for the front and the quadstar for the back.

 

I dont have Works, Ive got the cheap version Elkas. Dual rate no rezzies (but are upgradeable). Best money I ever put into that old girl. Night and day difference. Highly recomend new shocks.

 

why tripple rate with res? what are you gonna do with quad trail ride it and do some small jumps or you going for Quad wars etc? How much do you weigh? I weigh 210 and I jump mine and hit woops in the dunes at WFO only dual rate no ressies. ressies are for racing so oil dont get as hot etc. if you dont need tripple rate with ressies save your money bro and spread it around on other ares of your quad. I know so many guys go and spend 1000$ + on shocks for there quads and only ride in dunes and never jump anything huge its a waste of money. my 02 cents

works tripplerate with ress will withstand more abuse then your frame ever will so you dont need them ,dual rate no ressies is fine! its up to you but your wasting your money. how much is the tripple rate with ress like 5bills, 3bills for duals sounds better to me? Unless your gonna get some awsome deal or something?
