i dont wanna **** anyone off here but i say let them do as they please they will learn. I have a 400ex that i race locally and i have extinseve motor mods and the pipe i have is an lte(looney tooned exhaust) it is extreamly loud and recomended for closed course racing but that is the pipe set up that works best for my type of riding. i also have a 400 ex that i just use for trail riding stock mostly with pipe air kit and jet kit and it runs well. the pipe on it is a fmf full system it is loud but it maintains all the regulations for db's mine is 98db's it is more than pleanty loud but if i could find a quieter pipe with the same performance that would deffinatly be a good investment.

So maybe this will give u a preety goo idea of what to use pipe wise use what is most sutible for your type of riding dont buy a pipe for the sound it could actually hurt your performance.
