I will be getting a Lt250r soon (i think). I am wondering what you guys think about these quads and what i should look for as in problems. I have read some of the other posts in here and people say that they have potential swing arm porblems if jumped a lot? I do a lot of hill climbing woods riding and jumping. I am looking at a 92 right now that has new piston, rings, sleeve, but the guy says it needs some tlc. So anotherwards it has not been taken care of. I can do mst engine work it needs and i will be taking a good look at this quad soon. I have been riding for quite awhile now so i have expirience with them.

They are excellent bikes. If you can get a 92, do it. I owned an 86 and an 88. Both highly mod, and ran great. The only problems I can think of are the swingarm pivot bearings wearing prematurely, that was a problem on my 86. I never had a problem with my swingarm, and I jumped a lot on mx courses and in the sand. TLC means it probably needs new bushings and bearings, maybe some other minor stuff. If you can do engine work then this will be a piece of cake. Good Luck!
