Vinson or BF 650?
#11
Both quads have there advantage. I still prefer my vinson but that is my choice. I ride almost entirely with a cousin of mine. He has a BF 650. When I get on his BF I love the power it has compared to my vinnie. When he gets on mine he says he likes the way the vinnie handles better. I seem to think his BF handles pretty good myself, but I havnt ridden it all that much. He also likes the 3rd light that can be turned on or off, he doesnt have a 3rd light. Also he hates it when that yellow lever on his handlebar doesnt really help him get through anymore places than me( not so far anyway). And he really gets pissed when he gets in a mudhole in 2wd and gets stuck and the BF wont go into 4x4, because it has to be moving first. My vinnie on the other hand locks in 4x4 instantly when the button is pushed. Now dont think Ive got something against Kawis, Ive got 2 Kawi street bikes and Im about to buy my son a KFX 50 atv. But for about the same $, the only advantage the BF has over the vinnie is the ability to out run me in a drag race. The extra power has so far proven useless in getting him in and out of more situations than me, and he'll be the first to tell you that. So go ride each one and make you own mind up. They are both great machines and I think you would enjoy either, just pic the one that appeals to you most. By the way how mush is the dealer asking for the Vinnie. You should be able to get a manual one for at least $5700 OTD or less. Someone posted they got there KQ in Ohio for about $6600 OTD which is about $1000 under MSRP, so the same should go for the vinnie at that dealer. My Auto vinnie was $5600 OTD and a manual is usually about $200 less.
