whenever i ride my z400 and get into about 3rd gear it starts to feel like the clutch is being held in just a little bit and seems to rev a lot higher then the speed im going but im not holding in the clutch does anyone know what this is?

 

sounds like clutch related to me,but it might just be that your cable is adjusted to tight,you actually want a little bit of slack in it,like where your lever isnt pulled tight againstt the perch
