I was out at Gordon's Well this weekend and got to see a few YFZ and TRX 450 owners scratch their heads as they saw the Z 400 they couldn't shake at Test Hill.
From what I gather this guy is working on making a bolt on kit to get the 400 up to 450 power with head/cam work and a stock bore high compression piston.
I got the oppertunity to ride it and pulled a 450r and tied a YFZ without being familiar with the quad. I hit 3rd at the bottom of the hill and it wanted to reach for the sky the rest of the way up. All that needs to be done is a little suspension work to compensate for the HP increase. The kit is an all around useage setup and on our ride looked great in all types of terrain, long fast runs, short cut and thrust technical areas and everything in between.
It's quite the little sleeper quad.
