Default o ringed head

contrary to popular belief...a ball nose end mill will create a FILLET not a RADIUS. A radius is ON a corner while a fillet is IN a corner. Please tell me where in my combustion chamber I can use a 1/8 ball mill to create a fillet? What I think you want to say is...a radius ON the corner edge where of the squish ban meets the comb. chambr????? Still not something a ball nose will do!

wouldn't it be a little hard to do on a lathe, you'd have to sharpen a tool with an exact radius right??? Oh yeah btw i never had a bit of trouble with the O ringed head on my 250R, if it's done right you will have a more reliable machine than just having a regular head gasket, cause on the Suzuki i have we blowed head gaskets out and with that O ring it made for a much more tighter seal.

OK duneaddict. Can you tell me more about your squish angle. More preciselly what your changes are? And what the changes do to performance? Will it increase rpm or torque? I still what a reliable machine. I can do all the changes on my lathe at work.....THX.
Norm: I'll need to go dig out my notes for exact specs... and you'll need to divulge more info about your motor. What's your bore diameter? Are you running a Wiseco piston? What if any port work has been done? Specs if so? What's your elevation? What fuel do you plan on running? ( I Recommend nothing less than 104 octane AV gas as an absolute minimum... Good fuel is cheap insurance)

Since you're a machinist, this work will come easy to you... I've done several heads, and used my lathe... nothing fancy here.

The idea is to match the squish velocity with your intended use of your bike... (E.G. you can improve rev or torque depending on what you do to it.
If your after max reliability (Who isn't with this motor)... Recutting the bowl makes perfect sense, as I previously mentioned there is a SEVERE problem with detonation with the stock setup. And bad detonation kills motors, plain and simple.

There's really only two variables we're concerned with: The angle delta (change) between the piston dome and the squish band, and the clearance at TDC b/w the piston and squish band.

I can fire you some photos of my latest and greatest head if you'd like. PM me with your email address, and I'll do what I can to help you out.
