Default my new 05' Vinson auto = slow?

Hello again guys, last week I just went and bought myself a brand new Vinson 500 automatic. But soon enough i found out that it was slow. I mean: I slam the throttle hard, and hold it there, not much happens.

Obviously no wheelie, but its not even spinning on my gravel yard ... I was just wondering if that's the break-in thing ... It's strong tho, i can pull my trailer full of woodlogs from the shed to my home (½ mile) without any problem, no overheat, no leak anywhere, jsut plain slow ...

any intelligent answer is welcome

thanks in advance

you have to give your quad about ten hours to fully break it in. you shouldnt be slammin hard on the throttle until you have sufficiently broken in your machine.

Do not slam that throttle! If you don't break it in properly the rings will not seed good and you will never have that power/speed you are looking for.

With that said it does sound like there may be something wrong because mine never flet like that even when new. You could always bring it in and have the dealer check it out. Maybe just wait until it's broke in and then bring it in if it's still acting up.

I agree that u should not abuse a quad while its new, but u shouldn't baby a quad b/c it will not seal the rings right. Give it enough time to get warmed up and then ride like normal.

No ****! Everyone was/is right about break-in, but it should still be able to roost gravel! Sounds like a problem somewhere. The Vinson isn't the fastest ute out there, but it AIN'T slow.

thats true i completly overlooked the part bout the gravel. there is definitly something wrong if u can't spin the wheels in gravel.

Yeah I know ... but I dont slap the throttle all the time guys, I just noticed the quad was slow ... so I tought: let's give it some more juice see if it reacts .... half the lever, nothing, 3/4, not much yet ... then I said "damn it", and slammed it ..... nothing impressive I tell ya ...

I'll be bringing it to the dealer thursday night, since all of you here plus my neighbor all think its not normal ...

ill keep you posted

You definitely have a problem. My eiger will rip up a gravel road, and the Vinson has about 30% more Hp with only 10 additional pounds.
