Tdrango, What did the guy with the Vinson say about it good/bad?

 

The guy with the Vinson that I was riding with said exactly what all the review articles claimed...instant starting, instant acceleration, steady pull through to the top end. The review articles I'm referring to are located on iCat's web site.

But, you have to wonder...if you were to give 10 people the real thing and 10 people a "dummy" iCat, would you have close to equal claims (placebo effect).

I'm with 4xZuk, if these claims were true, this quick mod would have spread across this forum like wild fire.

 

I wonder if you would get close to the same result with a spitfire type of plug?

 

It by passes the resistor in the spark plug cap. You can mod your own for free

 

I read the "bypasses" the resistor theory somewhere else too. Since the iCat installs between the OEM Spark Plug cap and the wire from the OEM coil (at least the Model 02020 does), I can't see how this can be true. The original cap is used and fully intact.

 

Just remove your old spark plug cap (with resistor) and replace with a non resistor type. Also get a non resistor spark plug...just make sure there is no "R" after the first letter.....simple[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
